Funny how things come around
Memory gone, pictures found
Close my eyes and I can hear you laughing
What got lost in folding waves,
Washing over everything
But in this light...in this light you still look the same
All that time we had to waste
Endless golden summer days
If you could go back would you take me with you?
Oh, take me with you
Funny how it all comes down to
a single moment spinning around
A million times in your head, just can’t let it go
All that hurt we gave up so fast
Didn’t know it would come back tenfold
Didn’t know how long it would last
Constellations overhead
Nights we thought would never end
If you could go back would you do it all again?
Oh, when light lifts away
Endless golden has to fade
Funny how things come around
We’re just a little bit older now
Close my eyes and I can hear the music ringing out
And what we find out last:
It all goes by so fast
And then it goes, it goes around
Constellations light the way
To endless golden summer days
If you could go back would you take me with you?
Oh, when light lifts away
Endless golden had to fade
Hold on, wait up, lost you in the waves
Tide, shake me loose
Bring me back again...
Would you bring me back again?

This album is amazing from start to finish! It's got such a cool, poetic, punk rock vibe. Hits the soul, for real. Please come play in Miami, Florida soon! Thank you for your art! richnice1975

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
